53rd & 3rd 'Commando' |
![]() 53rd and 3rd are a Ramones tribute band (as if you didn't know by now). We are based in London, England and the line-up is as follows: Vocals : Rich Guitar : Jake Bass : Pete Drums : Eric Jake and Pete first started jamming together back in April 1996. Rich, a friend of Pete's, soon joined us, and after a long search for a drummer who could play fast enough, Eric came along and everything clicked into place...... Several demos have since been recorded. The band started gigging constantly at the end of 1997, playing shows with many established bands including The Queers, UK Subs, The Vibrators, The Stranglers, Stiff Little Fingers, etc. Charlie Harper of the Subs has since become a confirmed fan, and has even been spotted handing out flyers for the band! We go on stage wearing ripped jeans, leather jackets and mop-top wigs, and the ever-growing setlist is a mixture of Ramones classics such as "Blitzkrieg Bop", "I Wanna Be Sedated", "Glad To See You Go", etc. and some more obscure tracks that The Ramones never played live. From the opening notes of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and "Durango 95" to the last riff in "Pinhead", when Rich frantically waves the Gabba Gabba Hey sign to the audience - a 53rd & 3rd show is a complete Ramones experience. 'Commando' can be heard here. |
